The Senior Business Analyst is the main liaison between the business, end user, and the scrum team.  Part of the Senior Business Analyst’s responsibility is to help convey the business requirements and user experience to the scrum team. This is key to successfully developing any agile software development project. The Senior Business Analyst does this in part through requirements gathering and user research to determine the Product Roadmap and Product Backlog.


  • Create and maintain the Product Roadmap and Product Backlog
  • Facilitate user research, requirements, Product Roadmap planning workshops, and Backlog grooming and prioritization workshops
  • Create user story requirements and acceptance criteria, as well as provide oversight and mentorship to less experienced BA’s
  • Gain proficiency in the feature set and the ability to explain to internal and external stakeholders
  • Understand the value of every feature and is unafraid to ask “Why?” and go back to the drawing board for clarifications
  • Provide factual support for changes to scope and trade-offs made during the course of a product lifecycle
  • Work with the testing team contributing to test cases and test plans, planning user tests and production deployments, also helping with bug triage
  • Experience working directly with clients in agile development methodologies




  • Communication: Explain the value of a feature to the developer, non-technical user or an executive sponsor
  • Leadership: Think strategically and tactically. Be collaborative and decisive, enthusiastic and critical. Build trust and influence decision making in various contexts
  • Delivery: Work with the development, testing, business, support and marketing teams to ensure successful launch of a quality product or project
  • User Focus: Demonstrate user empathy and strong user experience sensibilities and be able to conduct user research and create low-fidelity prototypes and user flows
  • Problem Solving: Break down complex problems into actionable steps
  • Organizational and Time Management: Be highly organized, and able to juggle multiple projects and prioritize your work




  • Consulting, insurance, healthcare or financial services experience
  • 4+ years of business analyst work experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, HCI, or a related field
  • Hands-on experience in systems development
  • SharePoint, O365, and Power BI a strong plus
